
Alex Bernard is a radio and television broadcaster, writer and voice over artist with a passion for communicating and entertaining. Alex has been working in Brisbane media for over 15 years.
Alex joined the Fairfax Network’s 4BC in 2006 and has presented several shifts including Afternoons and Summer Weekends. Prior to 4BC, Alex spent five years with 612 ABC Local Radio where she presented the state-wide evening program. Before joining the ABC she worked for Channel Nine and Network Ten.
Alex is a talented television presenter who embraces challenges with relish! In Dec 09-Jan 2010, Alex rebuilt a car with 700,000kms on it for High Octane – a motor sports show on One HD (Network Ten's digital sports channel).
Alex is also a writer. She is currently a regular feature writer for bmag Brisbane’s largest lifestyle magazine with a circulation of over 1,101,000 throughout South East Queensland.
Alex's voice and face will be familiar to you as she in demand for voice over and television commercial work. Her work includes national radio and TV advertising campaigns and also corporate videos.
Alex moderated several sessions at the 2010 and 2011 Brisbane Writers Festival and has also hosted several Literary Lunches for University of Queensland in the past few years. Alex was one of only ten journalists invited to moderate sessions at the 2011 Noosa Long Weekend Festival, featuring some of Australia’s most respected writers and journalists including Ita Buttrose, Thomas Keneally and David Williamson.
She is also one of Brisbane's busiest MCs hosting functions for many organisations including the Queensland Government, the Heart Foundation, Local Government Association Queensland and the Brisbane City Council. In 2011, Alex hosted the Heart Foundation’s inaugural National Go Red For Women Roadshow in each capital city.
